Let’s Erase Medical Debt in Colorado This Holiday Season!
Instead of chocolates, fruit baskets or those types of items this holiday season, Fall River Employee Benefits decided on a meaningful gift for our community.
We are making a donation in honor of Fall River’s clients to help pay off medical debt for individuals and families in Colorado.
Medical debt is a topic that is near and dear to our hearts, as part of the health insurance industry. More than 60% of bankruptcies in our nation have medical debt as the root cause.
In this season of giving, we believe this is a most appropriate way to honor our clients and our community.

What kind of impact can we have?
In recent years, through this same program, we relieved medical debt for over 1,000 individuals …for a total of nearly $1.2 MILLION.
Undue Medical Debt is an amazing organization that is able to leverage our contributions to wipe out $100 in debt for every dollar we donate.
They identify individuals and families with outstanding healthcare-related bills, and they purchase the debts for those most in need in bundled portfolios for a fraction of their face value. That is how one dollar donated relieves $100 of medical debt on average.
Founded by two former debt collectors, Undue Medical Debt (formerly RIP Medical Debt) has purchased medical debt in more than 200 cities located in 35 counties across the country.
