We are the incoming first-year students majoring in Sociology or Criminology & Justice Studies at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM). We are conducting a service-learning project in our SOC 100 class to emphasize the impact of undue medical debt on individuals and society.
Last year, the students in this class abolished over $1,000,000 in medical debt for individuals and families in Southern California. We are hoping to abolish more medical debt than the class last year! Your donation will have up to a 100x impact on medical debt (in other words, for every $1 you donate, we can abolish up to $100 in debt). Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 to abolish up to $1.5 million in medical debt.
