M. — Undue Medical Debt

“This gift was such a tremendous blessing to me in more ways than the debt relief itself. I have never in my life gotten anything that says, “total debt: $7,809.00….balance: ABOLISHED”. At first glance, I thought it was a joke or a scam, but when I saw the date of service, I knew THEN, this was real. The date of service dates back to when my newborn son was in the hospital fighting for his life. The doctors weren’t sure what was wrong with him. They tested him for meningitis and other things. He was only a few weeks past 1 month old and had a high fever. He was hospitalized for 7 days, and I didn’t leave his side once…not even to shower. I didn’t know how much his bill would be or how I would pay for it. I just wanted him to be ok. Being a young mom, I was not able to pay for his hospital bill. I never forget how I felt seeing that $7k balance. It was overwhelming. Although, he is well now, 19 years of age, in college and doing an outstanding job, this debt relief showed me how, although you can have a debt from 19 years ago and don’t remember, God remembers, and He uses wonderful people and organizations like yourself to be that godsend to those who are in need. This increased my faith even more in the Lord who is my provider. And for this reason, I thank Him and I thank you all, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for your generosity and choosing me for this blessing. My son is truly a gift to me…and this was confirmed through the gift you all sent on his behalf. May your organization be blessed and remain blessed in all things.
