Alabama Medical Debt Relief Initiative 4

Medical debt is one of the heaviest burdens a family can face — it crushes dreams, limits opportunities, and keeps hardworking people from getting ahead.  That’s why today, we are asking you to help us erase $3.9 million in medical debt in just 52 days. With your support, we can lift families out of this silent crisis, giving them breathing room, hope, and a brighter tomorrow.

Debt is a Crisis Too Many Can’t Afford!

  • Nearly 29% of people in the rural South face medical debt in collections¹ — one of the highest rates in America.
  • Alabama’s refusal to expand Medicaid leaves thousands in the coverage gap, putting families at greater risk of catastrophic medical bills. ²
  • People living in the South and non-Medicaid expansion states, including Alabama, are also more likely to have medical debt, with a heavier burden on Black and Hispanic patients. 3
  • 41% of Alabama households already struggle to afford everyday expenses. 4

This is our 4th campaign!

Since 2023, widespread support has helped us abolish more than $5.6 million in medical debt for over 5,500 neighbors across Alabama:

  • $1,119,618.51 for 1,407 neighbors across six counties in 3Q 2023.
  • $1,267,294.51 for 1,918 neighbors across ten counties in 1Q 2024.
  • $3,239,236.36 for 2,254 neighbors across eight counties in 2Q 2025.

Since we know the crisis isn’t slowing down, our fourth medical debt relief campaign is focused on communities that need it most: Lee, Macon, Russell, Chambers, and Lowndes counties.  At the PRF Institute (https://www.prfministry.org), our mission is simple: Teaching individuals HOW to live life more abundantly through better stewardship practices. For people to truly embrace teaching, it resonates best when they feel supported and are no longer overwhelmed by life’s challenges.

Let’s Turn Burden Into Breakthrough!

  • Donate now to help erase $3.9M in medical debt
  • Share this campaign with your friends, family, and community — every share multiplies hope.
  • Together, we can break the cycle of debt and build a stronger, brighter Alabama — one household at a time

With Gratitude,
