What is the connection between generosity, God’s love, and medical debt?
We have an opportunity to express our gratitude for God’s generosity in our lives. God’s goodness and love surrounds us, even in the most difficult seasons of our lives. In fact, recognizing God’s goodness and love can sustain us during life’s most challenging moments. So, ask yourself, in what ways do you see God’s love and generosity touching your life? How are you expressing your gratitude for this generosity?
This Easter season we’d like to invite you to express your generosity in such a way that can transform lives and share God’s goodness, love, and mercy with our neighbors in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties.
The Bay Area resides at the intersection of great wealth and great poverty, and we know that medical debt is a burden for many. Over 100 million people are impacted by medical debt in our country, but not everyone is affected equally. The poorest members of society, especially those who are people of color, are more likely to be affected. This is an injustice that our neighbors are bearing.
Help us support our neighbors in such a way that spreads the lifegiving and transformative joy of Easter. A gift of $50 relieves roughly $5000 in medical debt. A gift of $100 abolishes roughly $10,000 of medical debt. A gift of $250 will have roughly a $25,000 impact.
Please give generously as God is always generous to us.
