Medical debt is the leading cause of bankruptcy in the US leading people to drain savings, avoid further care regardless of necessity, and face harassment from collectors. Medical debt can result in people being unable to qualify for loans or secure housing in general, let alone being put between the rock and a hard place of making a payment or buying groceries.
Undue is capable of purchasing large debt packages for around 1/100 of their debt value. Meaning that for every $1 donated around $100 if not more can be abolished. $10, $100, or $1000 donations? $1,000, $10,000, or $100,000 abolished! We are seeking to collect at least $10,000 in donations to purchase and abolish $1 Million, or more, in medical debt for people of the region!
