Together We Heal: Georgia Community Debt Relief Fund

Medical Debt in Georgia

About 1 in 8 Georgia residents (12.7%) reported having medical debt in a given year from 2019 to 2021, compared to the national average of 8.6% (KFF, 2024). Please join us in our effort to raise $15,000 to help eliminate a portion of the medical debt across Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, and Richmond counties. On average, each dollar will purchase and retire $100 in medical debt! No one should worry about affording healthcare, and together we can ease this burden.

Who is SNaHP?

Students for a National Health Program (SNaHP) chapters at Emory School of Medicine, Medical College of Georgia, and Philaldelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine GA believe that healthcare is a universal human right and should be offered as a public service. We advocate for healthcare that is equitable, just, and compassionate. Our chapters are dedicated to advocating for patients, signing community members up for health insurance, and fighting for a high-quality healthcare system that works for us all. We are partnering with Undue Medical Debt to ease the financial burden of medical debt on our Georgia friends and families!
