For the second year in a row, I’ll be streaming until we raise $1 million for charity.
This year, we are fundraising for Undue Medical Debt.
Undue Medical Debt is a nonprofit that purchases large portfolios of medical debt around the United States, from hospitals, collection agencies, and physician groups for a fraction of the value.
Through donations, Undue Medical Debt then pays off American’s medical debt, as individuals receive a letter in the mail notifying them that their outstanding balance has been abolished. Since the payment is coming from a detached third party, people who have their debt relieved suffer 0 tax penalties, and are able to move forward debt free.
